It is really cool watching history in the making, isn’t it? I told Scott that I really need to watch his acceptance speech tonight. He is such a wonderful speaker.

I am tired. Still. And, of course, it is all rainy and dreary outside, which is a very good nap day. Gah to be home and in my bed snoring would be absolutely wonderful right now.

That is really all that is going on at the moment. Need a nap, Obama got the nomination, and it is raining outside. Sweet.

No EQ2 post today either. Haven’t really done anything productive, lol.

EQ 08-25-08

Okay, so I started working things out considering guild halls. I am hoping there will be some changes in the prices (less) and upkeep (less or reducible) but I am not holding my breath.

The guild has approx 160pp sitting in the guild bank right now, between Krys and Eyezes we have almost is not more than 15mil status saved up and that doesn’t include the 3mil from Modex that he will probably donate and whatever else gets donated from the members of the guild.

First thing I have to say is that I was crazy stupid doing writs yesterday. I wanted that damn little balck dress that needed 40k faction for that Agents of Neriak. Ya, I had about 3000 faction. So I did writs all damn day, got the guild approx 80% of a level. We had just dinged 46 on Saturday, and we were around 20% in when I started these writs. We are now 10% into 47 (turned in lots of status items as well). I am never doing that again. Of course I say that now, but we all know that one day I will do that again, lol.

Okay back to guild halls. So I figured with all the amenities that we want and a tier 2 hall, we were looking at the purchase price of 477pp and 46mil status. That doesn’t scare me one bit. I have a list of amenities and I will share in a second, we will purchase those as we accrue the status and can buy them. I have them listed in an order of want/need first to 18th. Okay, what scares me is the upkeep. 7pp a week, that is really no big deal at all. 336000 status per week. Yes, I realize that it is only 23 writs/dungeon runs/what have you, the point is to put pressure on the guildies. It will just tear the guild apart, so looking at this from my eyes; this is what I need to do to keep this place up. I know it will be worth it in the long run, but damn, lol.

Guild Translocation Beacon

Guild Hall Banker
Fuel Merchant Hireling
Tradeskill Rush Order Agent
Harvesting Supply Depot
Farseas Express Mailbox
Guild Hall World Market Broker
Tradeskill Writ Agent
Druid Portal Hireling
Teleportation Spire to the Overrealm
Mariner’s Bell: Faydwer
Magic Carpet to Sinking Sands
Mariner’s Bell: Kunark
Mariner’s Bell: Shattered Lands
Portal to Member Housing
Kunark Adventure Writ Agent
Gigglegibber Goblin Gamblin’ Game
Status Executor Hireling

That’s the list of stuff I want to put in the guild hall, in the order in which I would like to place it, so to speak. I was thinking one room to be a tradeskill room, which would also include the banker and broker and anything related to tradeskilling. I also thought of a portal type room and then a library, of course. That’s three of the rooms, so that leaves 7 rooms and the atrium. Brander said she would decorate a room or two, and I am sure I would as well.

I hope this all works out for us, it sounds like fun and I think it will be awesome.

08-25-08

I have to tell you that I am quite jealous of my husband at the moment. Not due to the fact that he is unemployed (that severely sucks), but because he can be at home with the children right now. He gets up and fixes them breakfast and then takes Trenton to school. Then he and Nathan spend the morning doing things together.

This morning they folded clothes, did dishes, tore out my sunflowers and hung the heads up to dry. Then they took a bath and now they are playing games and trying to figure out lunch and dinner. Yes, I fully admit that I am jealous.

I have another zucchini growing in my garden. It was so good. This is what I did and how I will probably do it from here on out. I took some EVOO (damn that Rachel Ray =p) and drizzled that in a pan. Then I took peppers, onions, and probably about 5 cloves of garlic and started cooking that up. About 5-6 minutes. Then I added the cut zucchini’s in. After that, I added a couple tablespoons of butter, and some soy sauce (not a lot). Then when the veggies were all done, I throw in some diced tomatoes, let that sit for about 30-45 seconds, just enough to get a little heat into the tomatoes, and wa-la: heaven on a plate. Damn that was good.

School is going well for me. I believe, think, hope, lol. The math class is pretty cool. They have this set-up where there is no book needed for class as everything is done online. The studying is the best though. You can do the problems over and over and over again, as the same type of problem will change. So you have 35x^-2/xy^-3. You get that solved but want to another? Sure, no problem. The next problem it will give you is 32x^-5/x^2y^-7. So it is the same problem, just different numbers. It is awesome, I totally love it. I am going to talk to my teacher, hopefully tonight and see if this will be available for Trig for next semester. God I hope so.

The religion class is going good as well. It is very interesting, and it is so much fun, it really is. We will guest speakers throughout the semester. I think the total was 5 guest speakers. We will have a field trip into Chicago. I cannot wait for that. And, of course, there is the obligatory research paper. Yikes! I have been thinking of doing my paper on how Christmas traditions were taking from the pagans to convert them over to Christianity. We shall see.

The boys are doing wonderfully. They are enjoying school, for the most part. Well Trenton is hanging in there and Nathan is just enamored with school, of course, lol. On Friday when Scott took Nathan to school, they were playing on the playground and Nathan was being all clingy, Scott was thinking he would have to play the asshole to get him to go to class. I guess he was refusing to let go of Scott while they were out there. Well Scott was thinking all wrong, lol. When the bell rang for the kids to get in line and start heading to their classrooms, Nathan looked at Scott and said, “Bye dad!” and took off running and got in line. That had to be great, hehe.

Well I think that is it for now. Off to start working on my EQ post =p

EQ 08-22-08

I am working with the guild upkeep/cost calendar at clockwork gamer. Will get back to you in a little while about that.

I do forsee it costing approx 450pp and 45million status upfront and 7pp/300k status a week thereafter for everything I want in the hall. I am going to ditch Zymeria’s house and keep all that stuff to decorate the hall with. So, ya, theres 50pp worth of crap I don’t need to purchase to decorate with. /sigh

08-22-08

Well as hard as I fought for that math class, I just think it may kill me until I get it all in head, lol. We are just reviewing and yes it is driving me crazy. But with some hard work. Yeah you all know where that is going. This class is busting my ass. I know it’s just because I need to remember it all and I will be fine once we get out of the review, errr, I mean, once my brain re-comprehends it all.

The boys started school this week as well. Trenton says he wasn’t excited but he was complaining that he had to wait another 15 minutes before we could leave. Is it time yet? Is it time yet? And so forth.

Nathan is very excited to be back in school. Today is the first full day, so we shall see what happens when he comes home tonight.

EQ 08-21-08

See the previous post. Too tired, no EQ. I do have news for that though.

Check back in the morning

=)

08-21-08

I was going to write a post today, but due to the fact that I am fighting to stay awake, I forgot.

School is good, fun, scary, and its going to be hard.

The kids both started school as well.

Ya, will write tomorrow if I can stay awake.

I was kind of disappointed with the lack of a level increase. But now that I have thought about it, it really doesn’t bother me all that much anymore. It gives me over a year to get my armourer (might make her a tailor with Modex being off and on) to level. It gives Krys over a year to get 24 more points in Transmuting and build up stock for the next level increase. It gives all my toons over a year to get masters, armor, and so forth. It gives the guild a chance to get more levels. It gives me a year to get the last three to level 80 adventurer =p

I also think it sounds a lot like LdoN from EQ1. Which, right now, sounds like a lot of fun. I am actually getting kind of excited about it. Didn’t think I would.

Guild halls: OMG, the price!!!!

That’s okay, the guild members are such wonderful troopers. We have 123pp sitting in the bank atm, and we are slowly working on building up more. /nods. I made over 125 adept 3’s yesterday and about 30 pieces of furniture out of all the rares in the bank. They are still over 10 loams, 10 hard metals, 30 roots, and 30 pelts sitting in there. Unforunately, we do not have a tailor (Modex) online until this weekend, so he can make those into quivers/armor/bags. If I had to gander a guess, that would probably be 100pp right there, giving the various prices things can be put up for.

I also emptied the guild collection bank and put all those up. No big ones, lol, I think the highest priced one I put on the broker was approximately 5g. But if you go through my three toons with stuff listed on them there is around 20pages. Yikes. The whole guild really came together this weekend when the price of the hall came out. I am really impressed with it.

Our goal is guild level 50 by the release of guild halls and the purchase of a Tier 2 hall. I really hope they up the item limit though. 10 rooms, I can see two rooms being dedicated to crafting, lol. With a banker, harvesting depot, the broker, and so forth. I am very excited at this prospect. I really hope that the Devs will drop the price a tad, and up the item limit on the halls. Also would like to see it on the island and not in town.

Okay I think that’s it for now. See you in game!!!

08-18-08

Where do I even begin?

Okay let’s start with the job situation. It royally sucks donkey balls. Scott has been out there for 6 months now, looking and applying and just plain old beating feet, and here we sit, with him still unemployed. We thought Target had gone really well. Well we still haven’t heard anything from them. They are hiring over 100 people. The guy apparently liked Scott a lot. The interview lasted an hour. Why in the hell have they not called?? I think on Wednesday, he should call them and ask them what is going on. /nods

School for the boys starts this week. Trenton starts on Wednesday for only two hours. Parent orientation for Nathan on Wednesday night, then Nathan starts school on Thursday. Nathan is looking very forward to beginning school. He has been asking and asking for the past 6 weeks when school is going to start.

I start school tonight. I am scared, nervous, excited, and all around not sure if I am doing the right thing. I mean school is never wrong, but I am also 33, will be damn near 40/41 when I graduate. I know it is the right thing. I know it is. Now tell my body to stop acting all crazy and get rid of the nervousness
.

Tuesday, August 05, 2008

Well it’s over. My baby is now 8 years old. Can you believe that? I truly cannot believe it. Just 8 short years ago, I held this little tiny baby boy in my arms. /sigh. How time flies.

Trenton’s birthday party was quite fun. He made out like a bandit as well. He got a lovely cake from DQ. The Strawberry Cheesequake Cake, and it was rather tasty. As for the present department, he did fairly well there too. He got for the Wii, WallE and Lego Indiana Jones. He got 3 games for the playstation. A skateboard, a flat ball, a lock for his bike (Nathan was adamant that he needed one), two Magic Treehouse books, a Dinosaur Encyclopedia book, a camera and a camera carrying case.

Friday night at the Riverhawks game was pretty cool as well. Trenton’s Coach took his team to the Riverhawks (our local ball team). When they got there, they were able to go on the field. They met the players, got autographs, and the cool part is they got to run out on the field with players as they were being announced. The boys got to hang around on the field until the National Anthem was sung, then they came in and watched (ha) the game. They also got to sing the 7th inning stretch. That was amusing. The lady with the microphone came over and the boys started singing (picture 10 7-8yr olds). As the song progressed, and the boys grew less timid, they got louder. And louder. By the end of the song, the lady had passed the microphone to one of the boys and covered her ears. All us parents were laughing our asses off though, it was awesome.

Sunday was school shopping day. We got all of Trenton’s school supplies, and then clothes for both Trenton and Nathan. The only thing we forgot was a backpack for Trenton. I, even as we speak, have all my stuff for school. Two damn classes and the tuition was $460 (not too bad) but it was the books, holy crap. Books were $200 and then the calculator was $125. I fell out of my chair. So now the countdown has begun. 13 days until I start school, 15 days until Trenton starts school, and 16 days until Nathan starts kindergarten. /cries

07-31-08 EQ2

Okay here it is. The EQ2 post.

Krystalea. She is sitting at 80 Wizard/80 Sage/376 Transmuting/140 aa’s/Fabled Epic/Tradeskill epic/Thuuga. I have my epic (group version) and I am working on a few pieces of armor. The Praetors Guard would be the all elusive one. Over 100 runs to Voes and nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Damn zone. The Jarseth Robe of Royalty. Now I haven’t run Maidens enough with Krys to say the zone is screwing with me. Yet. And then I want the Edict of whispering wind out of Chelshit. No, that is not a typo. It started as a typo and has remained since then. I do have to say, I will agree with our Warlock friend and zone running partner, that we are all now on a quest to kill every damn tree we see in Kunark as Chelshit has way too much wood too spare.

Master spells. Not too bad considering. I have Fission, Ring of Glaciers, Exothermicity (that is so spelled wrong, isn’t it?), and Tyrant. I think I may have one more, but I am not sure. I will have to check Krys out. It’s is not a damage spell though. No, the more I think, the more I will go with, that’s all she has.

Zymeria. 80 Defiler/80 Provisioner/400 Tinkerer/131 aa’s, possibly 130/Tradeskill epic. I love Zymeria and I feel like a healing god when I play her. She hasn’t gotten a lot of attention as of late. Seeing our guild has grown some, she is not needed as much. Kind of makes me sad. She does not have her fabled epic. Need to work on that one.

The only thing Zymeria has left that I want to push is Thuuga, and the Clan stormshield repeatable's in JW. I need to sit and do some collections or lower level quests for some AA’s.

Arzania. 80 Swashy/80 Woodworker/138 aa’s/Fabled epic/Thuuga. She just started on the tradeskill epic, so that will be incoming soon. Hell the only reason to do that is for the 45% speed boost, lol. I like to think I have geared her up fairly decently. She is wielding her epic and Anaphylaxis. She has the leviathan breastplate from Chelsith. I am happy where she sits, and anything else she gets is extra.

Zephina. 78 Bruiser/80 Jeweler/122 (?) aa’s/Tradeskill epic. Not sure if I will work on her fabled epic or not. We shall see. At level 77 I gave tanking CoA a try. I was able to tank all but the final named. Woot. I really really need gear. I really need to finish the JW quests and move on.

Attalyne. 29 Troub/80 Carpenter.

Myrinna. 42 Necro/80 Weaponsmith.

Desania. 27 Guardian/27/28 Armourer.

I have no idea what the aa count is on those three.

Hidden Agenda. God I love our guild name. It elicits all sorts of questions. We dinged level 40 on Monday. Our goal is level 50 for the guild halls. Don’t think that is too feasible, so basically, level 50 by the expansion. We have grown and added a few to our ranks. We have 8 guildies in total now. It was 10, but 2 left to go raid, but we are still hanging out with them fairly often.

There is not much else going on atm. I may be back later with something, depends on the day I have. =)

07-31-08

Ha!!!! Just as you would imagine, things are starting to slow down around here and I now have the chance to sit and write a few things.

Scott: Jobless, but hopefully not for long. He has three interviews next week, so lets all keep our fingers crossed that he gets one of them. He is also starting a few projects on the house in the meantime to keep his worry away when he is not out looking for work.

Trenton: My little boy will be 8 on Sunday. I cannot believe that. He has grown up so much and I am starting to see glimpses of what he will be like when he is a teenager. It scares me, lol.

He will be starting the third grade this year. He says all his friends say that the 3rd grade is boooorrrrriiiinnnnggggg. Gotta love it.

Baseball. This child has improved in baseball 1000 fold. He loves it as well. Let’s hope that he can keep it up next year too. Which I had written more over the summer, so I could use pictures and stories, /sigh

Nathan: Awww the joys of actually pining to go back to school. Is it time yet? Is it time yet? Is it time yet? Yup, that’s what I hear quite often.

As we know, fishing and baseball for Nathan are the end all be all of the summer. He now has two fishing poles, as he won one in a mini kid’s tournament at the beginning of the summer. And for baseball, well, he hit a home run, over the fence home run, coach pitch. That child just amazes me sometimes.

Me: Well even I start school in two weeks. I am going to buy my books this weekend. Can you believe it? I will be in school. I am starting with Algebra, as a refresher and then world religions as my humanities requirement. I am actually somewhat excited, scared, worried, the whole nine yards.

I will try try try to update more often and with better things as well. Like, pictures and stories. Lol. Stay tuned for the EQ2 portion that is incoming.

03-27-08 EQ2

Ahh, the joy that is EQ2. I haven't posted since RoK came out, so let us do a little catching up.

Krystalea - 80 Wizard/80 Sage/135.5 aa's/352 Transmuting.
-----Ya, I really busted my butt on that transmuting gig didn't I? :) I have begun fighting in skyfire with hopes of building up my stash of cash on her so I can start working on it again. I will have it to 400 by November, I swear. /nods. I really enjoy playing Krys, she is fun. I am having fun. The only thing really bothering me is that I am having a hard time finding groups. And now that Scott is home, we are hoping to get everyone leveled up to 80 and groups should then be no problem as we can fill in just about anything. But, again, I really want to play Krys.
----I have finished up most of Krys's apartment. I have one room left and I believe I know what I want to do with it. So from here on out, it will basically be adding a few trinkets here and there as I come accross them. Come visit my house on 3 Walk of the Dead on Najena.
----Finished the Tradeskill epic, that was fun.

Zymeria - 75 Defiler/80 Provisioner/101 aa's/400 Tinkerer.
----Tinkering was the easiest as was the provi part. I need to get back into making food as that was a good money maker. Hell I have only done half the quests through fens, and I have almost 50pp on me, and that includes giving away approximately 10pp in food, and then leveling up Tinkerer and such. I think I just had way too much stuff on the broker to keep up with, I may modify my line to sell and go from there, I don't know yet.
----I was looking at purchasing a 5 br in SFP and making myself a grand restaurant. I think that would be cool, so I do need to get to moving on that plat making. I need money to buy and upkeep and well furnish the house. Can't wait. The only thing about the 5 room houses in Freeport is they suck, but I am sure flooring and wall options will help. /sigh
----Just started the tradeskill epic.

Arzania - 75 Swashy/70 woodworker/120(?) aa's
----Arzania has just finished up all the quests in Fens and is about to move to Kunzar Jungle. She is running in tandem with Gudamen. Other than playing tank a few times for T7, I really haven't played her much.

Attalyne - 23 Troub/80 Carpenter.
----She was one of my first to 80 tradeskill. And one of my best money makers without all the work. I actually need to refill her broker, as mostly everything is sold now. She has 20pp on her atm, (and I have spent approx 10pp on supplies) so I doing very well on her. Love it. Haven't done any adventuring, not sure if I will. I might get bored one day =p

Myrinna - 41 Necro/70 Weaponsmith
----I betrayed Myrinna. After beta and playing a Necro I decided that Conjy just wasn't for me and away I went and betrayed her to the bad side. Although I haven't played her since, lol. She may actually be level 42, but I am not positive.

Zephina - 62 Bruiser/80 Jeweler/81 aa's
----I said I would never level Zeph as she was level 7 and her mana management for tradeskilling was way too good to give up. But as they have changed the tradeskill function I decided to go ahead and play her and she is fun. I went from level 20 - 60 in a matter of 3 1/2 weeks, no vitality for the majority of it. Was great.

Vizera - Deleted.
----Sorry, but playing a warlock, after playing a wizard made my head bleed. Bye!!

Desania - 18 Guardian/9 aa's
----I always said I would never play a tank (don't count Zeph, she's more DPS, tank as needed). Well, I slipped to the darkside. I refused to roll another sorcerer or summoner. That left enchanter on the mage tree. Uh no. No more healers period!! The scout classes, well I had a bard and a swashy, didn't want a brig or a assassin, and ranger just didn't do it for me. So I decided tank, and said screw it, no monk (have one) no half-breeds, Scott has a Zerker, so I am going with a Guard. Ya, I went from never wanting to play a tank, to picking the tank class (in my opinion) /sigh. I confuse myself sometimes.
----As for a tradeskill class. I do not know if I will pick one up with Desania. I say that now, but at some point, Arz and Myrinna will be 80 and I will itching to tradeskill, lol.

Okay I think that is it for now. I am more busy in EQ2 than I am in RL apparently. Interesting.

03-27-08

Just when you think you have the time to set and chat a bit, you end up with a honker of a project on your desk. I usually love big projects, except those that deal with Kia Rebates. Grrr. At least the lady at Kia is extremely nice and willing to help out.

The kids are doing wonderfully. They are getting way too big for my liking though. Nathan has graduated from speech class. He has to go back when he is about 6 1/2 - 7 years old to get retested for his lateral lisp, but he talks wonderfully now. Yay!!

Trenton is Trenton. Nothing new in his world.

Scott is now out of work and looking for some, but the job market in this area is pretty crappy.

Other than that it is going pretty good. It is spring break right now, so the boys are probably driving Scott up a wall.

Well that's really about it at the moment, will try to get more consistent than I have been. It's funny, I get hooked on something for several months at a time and I forget about everything else, I will try not to do that anymore, lol.

Incoming EQ2 post.

3-26-08

I am so horrible. But I am consistently horrible. I do ignore this blog for a few months at a time, but I do get back into posting. Can't guarantee a full post for life and EQ2 today, but I will work on it, for tomorrow at the latest.

/nods
